There are certain people whose writing sticks with you—not because they shout the loudest, but because they think clearly, write honestly and tell the truth as they see it. They don’t just react to the world. They make sense of it.

Here are a few people I keep coming back to. If you're building something, wrestling with ideas, or just trying to think better—these are good minds to spend time with.

Founder of WP Engine. His writing blends clear-headed business thinking with philosophical depth. He’s not afraid to say, “this is what I got wrong,” and that makes him even more worth reading.

Paul Graham

Co-founder of Y Combinator. A rare mix of technical mind and essayist. He’s especially good at spotting cultural undercurrents and patterns before they become obvious. Of course, his startup advice is second to none.
